Ketogenic Hospital Stay
The hospital stay went pretty smooth despite a rocky
beginning. Alex went into ketosis almost immediately which was good but the
sudden increase in ketones made him acidic. The acidosis made him very nauseous and he vomited allot
the first 2 days. The nausea is normal and is now under control. Beth was
trained on the diet and Beth being Beth has mastered the diet and is
concocting unique recipes for Alex.
We cannot thank all the nurses and doctors enough for all the care they gave Alex while he was in the hospital. Below are some pictures of Alex's hospital stay.
