Wish Trip to Disney 2010-Day 4- A Miracle For Alex

Wish trip to Disney Blog- Day 7
December 8th 2010
Bitter sweet day today. We are all bummed that we cannot spend more time here but at the same time are excited to go home. Alex and I started the day by going to the House of hearts to publish his blog from yesterday. When we were there Alex was playing and I looked over to Alex and he had his hand over his face. Those of you who really know Alex know that this means he had an accident. So we went to the bathroom to see the damage and as I was pulling down his pants a few "items" fell out onto the floor and then Alex said "they look like chocolate meatballs" I nearly had an accident myself because I was laughing so hard.

After the cleanup we picked up the rest of the gang and went to breakfast at the gingerbread house. After breakfast we headed to the villa to load the van and to check out. After checkout we had a couple of hours to enjoy the GKTW complex. Alex finally got to play in the candy land playground and all the kids had a blast. It was good to see them run around.

Then we headed over to Amberville station to play mini golf. It was called Dino putt and each hole had some sort of a dinosaur. It was really cool. One hole was even in a cave with a waterfall. Just a side note.....it feels really good doing the blog from the comfort of my couch while eating a bowl of my Mom's awesome Venus Demilo soup. My Mom and Dad dropped it off , as well as some chicken and rice, so we would have something to eat when we got home. My Mom and Dad Rock! Thanks Mom and Dad! Anyway, after mini-golf we worked up an appetite for banana splits so we headed over to get some.

After ice cream Alex just had to give the "garbage clown" another piece of paper before we left so we did that and then departed to the airport.

The flight was delayed one half hour so we had some extra time to kill. We hung out and relaxed...it was nice. We flew Jet Blue on the way home and everybody liked the Direct TV to watch. Unfortunately we could not all sit together so Beth, Alex, and Treasure sat in the very first seats and the rest of us sat near the back of the plane. Half way thru the flight an announcement came over saying "if there is a doctor on the plane could you come to the front of the plane" that's all I needed to hear to lunge toward the front of the plane. When I got there Alex was playing his handheld video game and said "Hi Dad" happier than a pig in shit.....so obviously it wasn't Alex. After I was finished swallowing my heart I found out that it was a teenage girl who was having anxiety attacks. There was a doctor on board because I remember stepping on his shoulders as I was lunging toward the front of the plane (kidding of course). Turns our there were a number of doctors on the plane and all was fine within minutes.

The rest of the flight went smoothly. We landed collected our bags and met the limo driver. Beth was extremely car sick on the way home we all felt bad. She didn't hurl though so that's good! I am looking at me beautiful wife sleeping on the couch next to me as I type this.

So, I guess that concludes this blog. I will be posting multiple videos tomorrow night so please fell free to come back and check them out. As I said before we cannot express our deepest gratitude ot he make a Wish Foundation to providing Alex and our family with this trip. We made memories that will last a lifetime!
